Mary
has 30 years' experience in administrative and managerial positions
in the consulting and book publishing industries.
Mary has exceptional organizational skills and coordinates many
of the administrative and logistical aspects of the firm's projects.
She is responsible for overall office management and the production
of the firm's reports, including the preparation of appropriate
graphics and client presentation materials. She has organized
and coordinated numerous focus sessions, workshops, and public
meetings; and has assisted in a research capacity on a number
of projects.
Specific projects in which Mary has played a central organizational
and logistical role include the MLA Low Income Review, a Workplace
Health and Safety Forum and the MLA Committee on Strengthening
Alberta's Role in Confederation. Her experience with these projects
includes: scheduling and organizing workshops and public meetings;
identifying and contacting participants; scheduling interview
programs; and designing and maintaining consultation-focused issue
and respondent databases.
Mary was a member of the team that completed a three-year evaluation
of Health Link for Alberta Health and Wellness. She coordinated
the activities of the eight-member team in terms of focus groups,
surveys, telephone and in-person interviews, all with an eye to
effective and efficient scheduling and participated in team meetings.
Mary was also responsible for ensuring accurate electronic communication
to the client and stakeholders, including the transmission of
documents such as presentations and reports. Mary developed graphics
presentations, proofread reports, and conducted research where
needed.
Mary was part of the two-person team facilitating focus groups
with AISH clients who have achieved a level of employment. The
consultations provided insight into the issues and experiences
of AISH clients who are employed. This assignment was conducted
for Seniors and Community Supports.
Mary was part
of the evaluation team for a pilot project delivered by Alberta
Employment, Immigration and Industry. This work included visits
to two pilot sites during each of three program intakes to interview
delivery staff and meeting with participants. She also conducted
periodic follow-up interviews with program participants over a
12-month period.
Mary was part of the team that developed the users manual and
guidebook for the Land Use Planning Internship for Alberta Municipal
Affairs and Housing.
